A new year

Life has gotten very busy. On Christmas day, my husband and I went to TWO movies: Valkyrie and Slumdog Millionaire. Both were excellent. Valkyrie was historical and factual and paints a better picture of Germans during the Third Reich than has been held by many. (Not all were willing subjects of Hitler -- it was a pretty suppressive regime). Slumdog Millionaire was pure fun! Set in India, it allowed us to see some of the richness of the culture and architecture and a little bit of Ballywood.
